Fiesta del 10º aniversario de MónNatura Pirineus

MónNatura Pirineus ha celebrado su 10º aniversario con una fiesta abierta a todo el mundo y llena de actividades. Jornada de puertas abiertas, programa de radio en directo, recorridos naturistas, actuaciones musicales, botifarrada popular y espectáculos entre otros han servido para conmemorar los diez años de la inauguración de MónNatura Pirineus, el edificio bioclimático ubicado en las Valls d’Àneu (Pallars Sobirà).

It confirms the sixth asteroid discovered in the Astronomical Observatory

Josep Maria Bosch already confirmed that the asteroids discovered in June from the Observatory’s CX MónNatura Pirineus, MPC C29, and all of them from this July 2011.

Extraordinary success of the closure

On July 31, saw the closure of the last four turns of the summer stays organized by MónNatura Pirineus, and that allows children aged between 7 and 14 years, participating in an environmental education program and leisure in a unique setting of the Pyrenees. This year has also performed the workcamp aimed at young people between 15 and 17.

Work camp naturalist in CX MónNatura Pirineus

It has opened the recovery of the old cattle path, in its section that connect the village of Son of the Center. This work was carried out by a group of 19 young people between 15 and 17 years during his stay in work camp organized by CX MónNatura Pirineus, with the collaboration of the Consell Comarcal of Pallars Sobirà anb Town Hall of Alt Àneu.

Josep Maria Bosch observes and discovers a new asteroid

The july 24 day, we received confirmation from the Minor Planet Center, the appointment of the second asteroid to C29, name of the Center's Astronomical Observatory. The temporary name is 2011 OF and are the first observers and discoverers, Josep Maria Bosch in particular who is a friend and collaborator of the Center on issues related to Astronomy. Is being followed from several observatories amateurs to better define the orbit these early days.

52 students on thw CatalunyaCaixa's “JOVES I CIÈNCIA” (Youth and Scinece) Programme take part in scientific research at the CX MónNatura Pirineus

The Obra Social de CatalunyaCaixa has selected 52 final-year secondary school pupils to participate in their "Youth and Science” programme. The programme gives these boys and girls the opportunity to participate in fully-funded research activities and follows them during the two years of Baccalaureate until they go to university. The “Youth and Science” programme is part of the Obra Social de CatalunyaCaixa‘s Knowledge Project, designed to develop young people’s scientific vocation. 163 students have already participated in three previous projects.
